What this site is
My Memory Check is a free, non-commercial research and education project. It offers a short memory and thinking check, some information about memory and Alzheimer's disease, and a research tool built around AURORA, an experimental AI model.
What it is not
- It is not a medical device, and it has not been reviewed or approved by any medical regulator.
- It cannot diagnose Alzheimer's disease, dementia, mild cognitive impairment, or any other condition.
- It cannot rule anything out. A reassuring result is not evidence that you are well.
- It does not create a doctor–patient relationship of any kind.
- It has not been clinically validated. It was built as a student project, and its accuracy in real-world use is unknown.
In an emergency
Do not use this site. Contact your local emergency number or urgent care service.
Using the site sensibly
Please do not:
- Present results from this site as a medical opinion, to anyone, including yourself.
- Use it to assess another person without their knowledge or agreement.
- Attempt to overload, break into, or scrape the site, or use it to send harmful or unlawful content.
The AI assistant
Replies come from a general-purpose AI model and can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date, even when they sound confident. Treat them as a starting point for a conversation with a professional, never as a substitute for one. What you type is sent to a third-party provider — see the privacy policy before typing anything personal.
Availability
The site is provided free and as-is, with no promise that it will work, stay available, or keep any particular feature. It may change or disappear without notice.
Limits of responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any loss or harm arising from use of this site, including decisions made or delayed on the basis of a result it produced. Some places do not allow certain liability limits to be excluded, and nothing here removes a right you cannot legally give up.
Which laws apply
This site is operated from British Columbia, Canada. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you use the site from somewhere else, you are responsible for whether doing so is permitted where you are.
Content and reuse
The wording, design, and code of this site belong to its operator. The research behind AURORA uses the ADNI dataset under ADNI's own terms. If you would like to reuse something here for research or education, ask.
Changes
These terms may change; the date above shows when they last did. Continuing to use the site means the current version applies.
